Like many children from this part of the world, Juuso grew up playing ice hockey and loving rallying. His father was also a rally driver, so it was not long before Jusso too was swapping his ice skates for four wheels.
His first steps into the world of motorsport were in karting and in 2011 he finished second in the Finnish Karting Championship.

RALLY STAR OF FINLAND
Jusso took part in his first rally in 2014 when he competed at the Peurunkaralli. In that debut season, he was already enjoying success, winning three rallies in his class and claiming three more podium places.
His 2015 season was even more successful with Juuso being crowned Finnish Junior Rally Champion. His first outing in that competition came at the Pirelli Ralli Tampere where he finished an impressive eighth overall and third in the SM3 class.
His career continued to flourish in 2016, with the organiser of the Rally Finland awarding Jusso the prestigious title of Future Rally Star of Finland, which comes with the prize of a fully-funded drive at the Finnish round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). Therefore, his debut drive in the WRC came at the 2016 Rally Finland where he put in another impressive drive, finishing third in the RC3 class as well as in the WRC3 category. He followed that up with his first ever drive outside Finland at the Rally Catalunya.
In the 2016 Finnish Rally Championship, Juuso won three rallies in the SM3 class on his way to a second position in the final standings of the SM3 class.
