Pavel Dresler was born in Studénka, Czech Republic, in 1986 and grew up a big motorsport fan. He was especially keen on Czech rally driver Roman Kresta and following him to events saw Dresler given the opportunity to sit in a car as a passenger.
From there he graduated to working as a co-driver and between 2005 and 2011 he worked with a variety of different Czech rally drivers.
In 2011 he joined Jan Kopecký as co-driver in the ŠKODA Motorsport team, finishing second in their debut event together, the Cyprus Rally. The following season saw them win the Czech Rally Championship and this was followed up in 2013 with FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) title.
In 2014 they won the FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) together and - after graduating into a FABIA R5 - Dresler has helped Kopecký win three further Czech Rally Championship titles (2015-17) and three rounds (Germany 2015, Spain ’16 and Italy ‘17) of the WRC2 championship as well.
Pavel Dresler is once again teamed up with Jan Kopecký in 2018, as the pair seeks to secure fourth Czech title in a row and make inroads into the WRC2 championship once more.
