Whilst technically a gravel event, the Rally Argentina sees taking on some very different terrains. It features both the narrow, rocky stages in the Traslasierra Mountains and the soft sandy roads of the Santa Rosa de Calamuchita.

Especially for the sandy roads, cars are raised up for the second pass of the stages to cope with the heavily rutted roads. On top of that, as the sandy roads become heavily rutted moving out of the ‘rails’ can pitch a car off the road. Throw in some river crossings and a decent chance of fog, and the Rally Argentina is clearly not an event for the feint-hearted.
