Some part of the event takes place in dense rainforest where in mornings and evenings the low sun can lead to strobing and significant visibility problems. The varied and challenging course always proves to be a fitting climax to the WRC season.
The final round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) season sees teams head down under for the Rally Australia. Based in Coffs Harbour, this event sees drivers take on very differing gravel surfaces. Some stages are on shire roads closely lined with trees, while others are on hard-base tracks which can be both open and quick and tight and twisty.
