The Valašská Rally, which takes place in the North Moravian region, was held for the first time in 1982 and has long been one of the country’s most popular rallies. The rally has been absent from the Czech Rally Championship calendar since 2012 but made its return in 2017.

Highlights of the Valašská Rally include stages which take place near Valašské Meziříčí and Kopřivnice. These roads offer demanding and difficult challenges to drivers because of both the varying quality of the surface and the various different types of asphalt used.
