Škoda Motorsport takes a 360-degree approach to sustainability. This means it is committed to sustainability across all areas, from the development of competition cars through facilities and logistics to services for customer teams. The objective of this approach is to deliver sustainable solutions that reduce environmental impact and contribute to the area of sustainable development within Škoda Auto.

Sustainable solutions can be found not only in vehicle production, through the use of biocomposite materials in competition cars developed as part of the Škoda Enyaq RS Race project or through the application of special eco-friendly film, but also during vehicle operation, for example through the use of sustainable fuels, oils and other operating fluids. In addition, the Enyaq RS Race contributes to exploring the electrification pathway in motorsport with alternative powertrains.

Improving the recycling efficiency of waste from 3D printing has delivered positive results and has made it possible to return 70 kilograms of 3D printing waste back into production. With sustainable solutions in mind, Škoda Motorsport has been based since 2018 in a new low-energy building. The team also maintains its environmental approach during testing and other events it organises or participates in. Within motorsport and its future, sustainability is an aspect that is being strongly emphasised, which is why it is also one of Škoda Motorsport’s priorities.

This is also demonstrated by the highest level of environmental accreditation from the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), which Škoda Motorsport received in 2025. The team underwent a demanding two-month audit process and demonstrated compliance with criteria across 17 environmental areas, assessed according to recognised standards such as ISO 14001, proving that even in motorsport it is possible to be environmentally conscious. “We are proud to have received the FIA Environmental Accreditation certificate, which proves that our efforts make sense. Our commitment to the sustainability of our programme is not driven by a desire for recognition. However, this accreditation gives us additional motivation to continue our sustainable development efforts and the production of rally cars with even greater ambition,” said Michal Hrabánek, Head of Škoda Motorsport, regarding the award.

One of the assessed aspects was also biodiversity at the Škoda Motorsport headquarters. The site in Mladá Boleslav includes green areas with shrubs and trees, some of which were planted by employees themselves. In addition, three bee colonies with approximately 150,000 bees are kept on the premises.
