This year, car manufacturer Škoda is celebrating 130 years since its founding, and it will mark this anniversary at the traditional Sosnová Classic event. Škoda will present a rich portfolio of cars, including legendary racing models—from the historic Škoda Sport to the latest Fabia RS Rally2 special.
On the weekend of May 17–18, the Sosnová Classic returns to the Sosnová racetrack near Česká Lípa. This year's edition is dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the Czech carmaker Škoda. Visitors will have a chance to see a wide range of both historical and modern cars and witness legendary drivers in action.
A highlight of the event will be the celebration of 50 years of the Škoda 130 RS race car. The model will be prominently featured: in addition to three units from the Škoda Museum, over a dozen privately owned examples will be on display. Norwegian rally driver John Haugland, who has achieved significant success with this car, will personally bring his own Škoda 130 RS to Sosnová.

Another legendary racing figure attending the event is former Formula 1 driver and 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Hans-Joachim Stuck. He will take the wheel of a Škoda Sport model. Other historic Škoda race cars on display will include the stunning Škoda 1100 OHC and the rally legend Škoda Favorit 136 L/H.

Škoda Motorsport will also showcase an extensive line-up of racing versions of the brand’s popular Fabia model. On display will be the Fabia S2000, Fabia Rally2 (R5), and the latest Fabia RS Rally2. The Autospektrum2000 dealer team, featuring driver Filip Kohn, will also attend. Kohn competes in both the Czech Rally Championship and the FIA World Rally Championship in the Rally2 category.
Representing Škoda’s current dynamic production models, the event will feature the Škoda Kodiaq RS with Monte Carlo livery, the Škoda Enyaq with design elements evoking Škoda Motorsport heritage, and a Škoda Octavia RS with a unique livery paying tribute to the iconic 130 RS.

“Škoda Auto from Mladá Boleslav is one of the oldest car manufacturers in the world, and we are all very proud of our history. This year marks the significant anniversary of 130 years since our founding, and we want to share this milestone more than ever with our supporters and fans. Sosnová Classic is the perfect opportunity to showcase the exceptional legacy of the Škoda brand to all car lovers—past and present,” said Klaus Zellmer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Škoda Auto, who will be attending the event. Czech President Petr Pavel, who has assumed patronage of this year’s Sosnová Classic, will also be present for part of the event.
