The FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) is back this weekend with the Rally Liepāja in Latvia. It is the 9th and penultimate round of the ERC, with competitors being tested over 13 gravel stages and a lengthy 203 km of competitive distance.

Two of the regular ŠKODA FABIA R5 ERC teams are taking part this weekend. Ralfs Sirmacis / Arturs Šimins are looking to add to their two victories so far this season at their home rally. They are driving for the Sports Racing Technologies team as are the Estonians Raul Jeets / Andrus Toom.

Meanwhile, another Latvian pairing of Raimondis Kisiels / Arnis Ronis are in a FABIA R5 for the TGS Worldwide OU team as well as Finns Kalle Rovanperä / Risto Pietiläinen, whose priority is the fight for points in the Latvian Rally Championship.
