Mladá Boleslav, 1 July 2026 – Škoda Motorsport has handed over its 300th Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 to the Calm Competició team and driver José Antonio “Cohete” Suárez and representatives of Škoda España. The experienced driver has been competing in Škoda cars since 2019 and has shown strong form this year in his domestic championship and on the European stage, winning the opening round of the 2026 FIA European Rally Championship at Rally Sierra Morena. At the wheel of Škoda cars, he has already secured three overall Spanish championship titles.
Lukáš Paták, Head of Customer Programme at Škoda Motorsport, said at the handover: “The 300th Fabia RS Rally2 marks a milestone for Škoda Motorsport: the latest generation of our highly successful Rally2 contender is our first Rally2 project to reach this number. Handing over this anniversary car to Cohete, one of the most accomplished competitors in Spanish rallying, adds to the significance of the occasion. We are proud to mark this milestone together and are convinced this car will support him in his pursuit of another championship title.”
José Antonio “Cohete” Suárez said: “Our association with Škoda Motorsport dates back to 2019, and it is at the wheel of Fabia Rally2 cars that I have achieved my greatest successes. Taking over the 300th Fabia RS Rally2 is a great honour and a testament of how far we‘ve come together. I am looking forward to adding more strong results with this car.”
The Fabia RS Rally2 represents the latest chapter in the model’s successful Rally2 career. Since the debut of the third-generation based Fabia Rally2, Škoda rally cars have become one of the most successful competitors in the history of the Rally2 category.
More than 750 customer cars sold across three generations, 24 world titles and countless continental and national titles demonstrate the exceptional strength of both Škoda Motorsport’s customer programme and the cars. To date, the cars have recorded 31,461 starts, 3,451 victories and 8,854 podium finishes in this category.
In 2026, Škoda Motorsport is celebrating its 125th anniversary. It has a rich history across many disciplines, with its greatest achievements coming in rallying.
