Amid the pine forests in the mountains above Monaco lies Col de Turini, a place where motorsport legends were born. Among them are undoubtedly many of Škoda’s iconic rally specials. It is precisely their legacy that the production model Fabia 130 now evokes—aiming to put a smile on the driver’s face with every journey.

For motorsport fans, Col de Turini is a legendary location. During the famous Rallye Monte-Carlo, extraordinary stories are written here and champions become legends. Škoda—originally Laurin & Klement—has been an integral part of this historic rally since 1912, the event’s second edition. Over the decades, the brand has celebrated numerous unexpected triumphs on these demanding mountain roads.

In 1936, the crew of Zdeněk Pohl/Jaroslav Hausman achieved second place in the under 1,500 cm³ class with their Škoda Popular Sport. And it was here, on and around Col de Turini, that the Škoda 130 RS cemented its legendary status. In 1977, crews Václav Blahna/Lubislav Hlávka and Milan Zapadlo/Jiří Motal secured first and second place in the under 1,300 cm³ class, winning Group 2, and achieving twelfth and fifteenth place overall—despite fierce competition from significantly more powerful cars.

Further victories later followed thanks to Škoda Motorsport drivers such as Freddy Loix in the Škoda Fabia S2000, or Jan Kopecký, Andreas Mikkelsen, and Kalle Rovanperä behind the wheel of the Škoda Fabia Rally2 (formerly Fabia R5). All these successes were made possible by the extraordinary dedication of every member of the Škoda Motorsport team—a hallmark of the department that remains unchanged to this day. And Col de Turini continues to hold a special place in their hearts.

It is for this reason that Škoda now introduces a car allowing fans to experience this atmosphere firsthand. The Fabia 130 is a model inspired by the brand’s historic achievements in motorsport, giving enthusiasts the chance to enjoy a thrilling fusion of performance and emotion. The goal of Škoda Auto’s engineers was simple: to ensure that the driver smiles behind the wheel just as rally drivers do at the finish line of a well-driven special stage.

The Fabia 130 delivers maximum driving pleasure, allowing the driver to savour every corner. And it doesn't need to be a corner on the legendary Col de Turini.
