The famous Safari Rally was first held in 1953 and has long been one of the most prestigious and rugged WRC events. It dropped out of the calendar in 2002 to celebrate a great return in the 2021 season. Among the specifics of Africa are gravel tracks full of stones and also unpredictable weather, which can turn dusty roads into a mud bath in minutes.
