Great acceleration, sideways driving and unexpected grip. The electric Škoda Enyaq RS Race concept surprises in practice and, in its own way, shatters myths. Rally champion Emil Lindholm and motorsport fan Vojta found out together on the polygon.

The Škoda Enyaq RS Race, an electric concept race car unveiled last year, is a truly extraordinary car. The race car-style modifications show not only the potential of electric cars, but also the high-tech solutions that can come in handy on the track, during the speed test but also in everyday life.

Škoda Motorsport has also innovated the Enyaq RS Race concept car as part of the refinement of its competition specials. In particular, the special has been given a new look in the style of the Modern Solid design language and engineers have fine-tuned its technology. Emil Lindholm, the 2022 WRC2 World Champion, took it into action on the polygon this time and invited a motorsport fan Vojta.

"I feel like I'm in a rally special when I am inside. It even has a handbrake lever," Emil mentions before letting Vojta join him in the passenger seat. "It's not a drive I would have in my car but I like fun, emotions and big wings," Vojta describes his expectations. The wing of the Enyaq RS Race concept is larger than that of the former Fabia WRC, so at least here the Enyaq RS Race has perhaps exceeded his expectations.

And as he and Emil head to the polygon, it's clear that the concept of a racing special has won them both over: the pilot and his temporary navigator. "It's faster than I thought," says Vojta. "It accelerates very well," adds the rally champion. The Enyaq RS Race demonstrates on the polygon that it is a car that could boldly take to the track in an endurance test. The car holds the road perfectly but manages a superbly controlled sideways drive on command.

"I'm really surprised. It was great," Vojta adds his impressions after the ride. "The car sits nice and low and is very responsive during turns. It's fun to drive," adds Emil. The Enyaq RS Race is the epitome of how Skoda Motorsport can entertain and evoke emotions.
