The ADAC Rallye – Rund um die Sulinger Bärenklaue was the third round of the German Rally Championship and took place in and around the town of Sulingen in north-west Germany. It was a tarmac event comprising 13 special stages and just under 150 km of competitive rallying.

This year’s event saw a ‘battle royale’ between the ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland team of Fabian Kreim/Frank Christian and the eventual winners Christian Riedemann/Lara Vanneste.

The ŠKODA Fabia R5 team missed out on the win by just 5.5 seconds, after being penalized 30 seconds for missing a chicane in special stage 6. The event saw a fantastic race as they attempted to overcome this penalty and ultimately came up just short.

The ADAC Rallye – Rund um die Sulinger Bärenklaue also saw two ŠKODA Fabia S2000s in the top four as Dominik Dinkel/Christina Kohl with the Brose Motorsport-run car claimed third place and their third podium of the year, meanwhile Yannick Neuville/Jürgen Heigl came home fourth.
