Bruno Magalhães currently sits in second place in the overall ERC standings and has a 23-point deficit to make up on the leader. But anything can happen in rallying and he and co-driver Hugo Magalhães are going all out to try and secure the necessary points with their ŠKODA FABIA R5.
The Sports Racing Technologies duo of Nikolay Gryazin / Yaroslav Fedorov warmed up for this event in perfect style last weekend with victory at the Rallysprint Saldus. They have experience driving in Latvia and are hoping to make the most of that at this rally.
There are also two other FABIA R5s taking part as Albert von Thurn und Taxis / Bjorn Degandt are driving a car prepared and run by the Wevers Sport team, alongside the Saudi driver Rakan Al-Rashed and his Finnish co-driver Jarkko Kalliolepo, who are driving for the TGS Worldwide OU team.
As ever, we are keeping a watchful eye on the performance of all FABIA R5 drivers at the Rally Liepāja and you can too with our exclusive picture gallery.
