The FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) returns this weekend (4th to 6th May) with the Rally Islas Canarias. The Spanish leg of the series takes place on the Canary Islands and consists of 12 stages and 207 kilometers of competitive distance. And there is a whole host of ŠKODA Fabia R5s taking part.

Bruno Magalhães / Hugo Magalhães from Portugal won the opening ERC round at the Azores Rally and are again competing for ERC points here. They are joined by the Polish pairing of Grzegorz Grzyb / Przemyslaw Zawada (Rufa Sport), Czech crew Antonín Tlusťák / Ivo Vybíral (Botka - Tlusťák Racing), German driver Albert von Thurn und Taxis and his Belgian co-driver Bjorn Degandt, and the Italian pairing of Max Rendina / Emanuele Inglesi (Motorsport Italia).

There are plenty more competing in both the ERC and Junior U28 competitions too. Germans Marijan Griebel / Stefan Kopczyk were the highest placed U28 drivers last time out, after finishing second overall in the Azores, and are competing again here.

The Sports Racing Technologies pairing of Nikolay Gryazin / Yaroslav Fedorov is also participating, as well as the ACCR Czech Team duo of Jan Černý / Petr Černohorský Jr. French driver Sylvain Michel and his compatriot and co-driver Jérôme Degout make their first ERC and ERC Junior U28 start of the season.

And the Rally Islas Canarias is also part of the Spanish Rally Championship, which is why the Spanish pairings of Pedro Burgo / Marcos Burgo and Yeray Lemes / Daniel Sosa are also taking part.

We are keeping an eye on the performance of every single FABIA R5 taking part in the Rally Islas Canarias throughout the event, and you can as well with this exclusive picture gallery.
