Mladá Boleslav, 9 July 2025 – Škoda Motorsport has reached a significant milestone with the sale of its 200th Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 car. The vehicle was officially handed over to Czech driver Adam Březík during a small ceremony at the team’s headquarters in Mladá Boleslav. Following his recent victory at the Agrotec Petronas Rally Hustopeče in June, Adam Březík will debut the car number 200 at this weekend’s Bohemia Rally.

Lukáš Paták, Head of the Škoda Motorsport Customer Programme, commented: “We’re delighted by the ongoing demand for our cars, and reaching the 200th car is a major achievement. It’s particularly special to deliver this milestone car to one of our Czech dealer teams, Samohýl Škoda Team, and driver Adam Březík, who will debut it competitively at our home event, Bohemia Rally, here in Mladá Boleslav.”

Adam Březík, currently fifth in the Czech Rally Championship standings and recent winner of the Agrotec Petronas Rally Hustopeče, said: “We know Bohemia Rally is Škoda Motorsport’s home rally, and we want to represent the brand strongly by improving on our previous results.”

The Fabia RS Rally2 represents the latest chapter in Škoda Motorsport’s success story, which began in 2015 with the Fabia Rally2 based on the third-generation Fabia. Over the past decade, three Rally2 variants have been developed: the original Fabia Rally2, the Fabia Rally2 evo introduced in 2019, and the current Fabia RS Rally2 launched in 2022.

During this period, Fabia Rally2 vehicles have taken part in over 26,800 events worldwide, securing more than 7,500 podium finishes and achieving eight World Champion titles in the WRC2 category. Esapekka Lappi clinched the FIA WRC2 Drivers title with the Fabia Rally2 in 2016, followed by Pontus Tidemand and Jan Kopecký in the following two years. With the homologation of the Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo on 1 April 2019, future world champion Kalle Rovanperä won the FIA WRC2 Pro title, while Pierre-Louis Loubet secured the FIA WRC2 Drivers title that same year. In 2021, Andreas Mikkelsen claimed both the FIA European Rally Championship and WRC2 category in the FIA World Rally Championship, followed by Emil Lindholm’s WRC2 championship victory in 2022. In the inaugural WRC season for the Fabia RS Rally2 in 2023, Andreas Mikkelsen reclaimed the WRC2 Drivers title.

To maintain its competitive edge, Škoda Motorsport introduced ‘Packet 25’ in spring 2025, a comprehensive set of performance enhancements and comfort upgrades. Alongside improvements in comfort and durability, the most notable changes include a newly optimised exhaust manifold, reducing the energy needed for in-cylinder gas exchange by 27%. Additional modifications to the exhaust system reduce the overall weight and combined with updated engine management software significantly boost power to the wheels and deliver a more pronounced engine note.
