Barum Czech Rally Zlín is known as the peak of the Czech Rally Championship season and this year's 50th edition once again confirmed the attractiveness of this event. The participation of foreign crews who completed this rally within the European Rally Championship (ERC), but also the difficulty of the course brought a great spectacle and the winner of the event was decided only in the last stage.

One of the biggest favourites for the win was the Jan Kopecký/Jan Hloušek crew. They fought for the first place during the whole rally and the thrilling duel culminated in the last stage when the leading crew Erik Cais/Jindřiška Žáková crashed. Jan Kopecký thus became the winner of the Barum Czech Rally Zlín for the tenth time, increasing his lead in the statistics of this event and securing the title of Czech Rally Champion in 2021. Norwegian Andreas Mikkelsen finished second in his ŠKODA Motorsport-supported Toksport WRT car, and with this result he moved into the overall lead of the European Rally Championship. The top ten in the overall standings were then occupied by six other crews with ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 or Rally2 evo
